Where to stay near Guedelon?
We're planning to return to Guedelon and are looking for a nice B&B in this area (Treigny in northern Burgundy). We weren't thrilled with where we stayed a few years back. Close in would be nice, but since we'll be driving there from the west, any place within an hour or two to the west of Treigny would be fine. Does anybody have a personal recommendation? Thanks in advance.

Cosne-Cours-sur-Loire or even Sancerre across the Loire would be close enough. Or this small town between the Loire and Guédelon:

When I slept in the area, I confess that I just stayed in the Ibis Styles in Gien. It does have a particularity which may interest some people due to its moderate rates -- it is actually a defrocked former Novotel and has a swimming pool. (It's aout 60 km from Guédelon.)

For anybody planning a trip to Guédelon this summer (July/August), there is a bus trip from the Paris-Bercy bus station for a day trip every Wednesday, leaving at 08:00 and returning at 21:00. The bus ticket includes the entrance fee, and it seems like a good deal to me at 49€ for adults.
