Many thanks Jacketwatch.
Trust you & Sumitra are fit as fiddle!
Mark my words, Air India will be somewhere in the top bracket, in the next a few years...new planes, great service & an assurance of the Tatas.
Air India belonged to JRD Tata, one of his coveted projects, before it was nationalized by a myopic, socialist oriented Govt. It was at that time, we were told by my late father, one of the best in the world!!
It now turns out to be Ratan Tata's most coveted project!

I certainly hope you are right. I did not know AI was so good before the govt took over.
It seems like perhaps TATA is on a mission to restore it to better times.
It will be difficult to change the culture there I think.
What will happen to the employees who are under government union contracts and protections?
I wonder if privatization will wipe that slate clean.
I look f/w to a much improved product in time,

The process of Air India will be more refined now. As the airlines have again in the hands of TATA group and for sure they are going to make it updated and modern. The airline is one the major airlines in India and have served well in COVID. As it was earlier in the hands of the government and they were regulating all the visa's so a sudden change will not be there but yes slowly and gradually they will make changes.
