Lassen Volcanic or Lakes Basin if you had to pick

Hi there...for those who have been to both. If you had just two days to hike and explore one or the other, which would you choose: Lassen NP or Lakes Basin, CA.? I know they are both different, both offer different natural features. Just wondering if someone with recent experience doing day hikes/camping can say which they prefer. Thank you!

Have been to both - Lassen several times, Lakes Basin twice - have not camped at either. I honestly think you can't go wrong with either. Lassen has more 'unique' features but Lakes Basin has all the lakes in and nearby. I know that doesn't help much

Either one for camping, although I found the Lake campground more attractive, but that also depends on the site you get.

Depending on the season and your day of arrival, where you get a reservation might be more crucial.

I haven't been to Lakes Basin but have camped at Lassen & hiked the Lassen Peak trail twice. The view from the top of the mountain, 10,000'+ is really something.
