Nat'l Parks w Class C camper

We were supposed to be going to Africa this year, but CVD had other ideas.
Instead, we're flying to LV, renting a Class C RV camper for a 12 days trip. Really only 10 days as 1 day on either end in LV.
We are planning to see the following:

Zion National Park - 2 nights/3 days
Bryce Canyon - 2 nights/3 days
Arches National Park - 2 nights/3 days
4 corners ... stop over on our way to GC
Grand Canyon 2 nights/3 days

Other ideas?
Horseshoe Bend
Monument Valley
Rim of Fire [near LV]

Suggestions for campgrounds, places we've missed on our list, must sees while in these parks, places to avoid, etc. We are planning several short [1-4 mile] hikes and would appreciate any suggestions for best trails, times of day, etc. I did this trip when I was 14. Have not been back until now. My 24 year old son & his girlfriend are tagging along and none of them have seen any of this part of the world...

Aug 2 - 14.
So far we've booked Ponderosa RV park outside of Zion and Trailer Village at GC.

Appreciate any insight you mighty travelers might have to share.

Thanx!

I am sure this will be moved.

See both sides of Grand Canyon

At Grand Canyon walk a bit down Bright Angel
Trail.. maybe a mile down then come back up.

Know the heat and your water supply.

At the south Rim of the Grand Canyon, drive both East and West from Grand Canyon Village and stop at the many lookouts.

For a treat have lunch or a drink at the El Tovar Hotel...which is right on the Canyon Rim

For sure do all of Monument Valley...make sure you see John Ford Point and tell me what you see looking down !!

Horseshoe Bend ..about 1/2 mile walk from parking lot.
Do Lake Powell, take a tour from here to Antelope Canyon....also Lees Landing.

Typing on cell phone so will stop now.

While visiting Arches, be sure to see Canyonlands as well. Mesa Arch and Grandview Point overlook are easy hikes, but there's much more.

Monument Valley there is an RV camper park at the View Hotel in Monument Valley. You will have to check with them as to availability due to COVID. Website says their hotel is set to open this weekend. I would call them ASAP to see if you can hold the RV site. More info here

https://monumentvalleyview.com/corona-virus-updates/

Note that you should plan for extra travel time as it's hard not to stop along the way. You don't want to miss sunset at Monument Valley!

For Bryce, Ruby's is the closest RV park. I wouldn't wait to book it either! I probably wouldn't include the North Rim as it takes a lot of extra time and you really don't have much, especially if you plan to do any hikes.

Be sure to print out and download the park brochures and maps from the websites. They may not be available when you arrive.

Just FYI: we had to make reservations ($2, 2 hour window) just to enter Rocky Mt NP (for this a.m.). Think some of the national parks will be instituting similar for crowd control.

Isn’t South Rim drive closed to private vehicles in summer requiring using the shuttle bus? Not sure. GC info should have that answer.

All shuttle services are suspended due to COVID until further notice.

Anyone visiting (or commenting on) any National Park should check the park website for up to date information.

Here is today's update for Grand Canyon
