Travel Luxembourg to Amsterdam
Hello. We are travelling from Brussels to Luxembourg spending 2 nights and then on to Amsterdam. Can anyone recommend either bus or train and which particular company to travel between each of the cities? Are we better booking in advance from overseas or waiting till we are in Brussels? Thanks

If you are happy to take a bus, and spend several hours (6-8 depending on the bus) on that bus then have a look at Flixbus.com. The earlier you book the cheaper it is. You can pay in dollars.
If you choose the train you still need to book it in advance, it will take about the same time with at least one change and cost more. The train is probably the more comfortable option but Flixbus have loos, free Wifi and drinks/snacks on board normally.

Hello,
Train is a better way to travel(unless you prefer bus for some reason).
Brussels - Luxembourg SNCB (Belgian Railways), no need to book the tickets long time in advance, but better to book it online, since buying international tickets at the station in Belgium you're charged an extra fee on top of the ticket.

Luxembourg - Amsterdam
1) Travel back to Brussels the same way you arrived and take direct train from Brussels to Amsterdam by a high-speed train(Thalys) or a standard IC(Intercity) train. The total trip takes between 5:30 - 6:30 hours.
2) Travel via Liege and Maastricht. The rail line between Luxembourg and Liege is quite scenic as it's crossing the Ardennes mountains. The total trip this way takes about 6:30 hours.
