Didn't read thursdaysd's links so some/all of these may be duplicates but my short must list of easy day trips (most well under an hour some just 20-30 minutes away) would include:

Caernarfon/Castle
Snowdonia
Portmeirion
Porthmadog
Bodnant Gardens
Plas Newydd House and Gardens
Llanfairpwllgwyngyll (if only to take a photos of the sign )
Beaumaris Castle/Anglesey
Chester
Harlech Castle ( a little farther -- maybe 75 minutes drive)

All in all you'll run out of time long before you run out of places to visit.
