St Lucia Holiday in February

Hi All,

I hope everyone had a good Christmas and New Year. I was just after a little advice on St Lucia as myself and my partner were looking to get away there for our anniversary in February (Covid permitting obviously).

We have narrowed it down to three resorts:
- Marigot Beach Club (Marigot Bay)
- Bel Jou (Castories)
- Mystique Royal (Rodney Bay)

I was just wondering if anyone else had been to any of these resorts so might be able to offer any insight to add to our pros and cons list. From our own research we have determined that each has it's plus and minus points but generally as they are all roughly priced the same we are looking to use others experiences to help make up our minds.

We are both fairly active so would like to have a few things to do during the day such as water sports, exploring and day trips but also a few days lounging around on the beach would be nice. It would be useful to also know if 7 days would be enough or whether we should try to go for 10?

Also if anyone has any experiences of other Caribbean Islands and resorts that we should consider as we are trying to keep the costs low so we can go for a bit longer (max budget around 1,500pp) please feel free to comment and throw us some curveballs, or if anyone has any tips on how we might be able to do it a bit cheaper that would be great too.

Many thanks for any responses in advance.

I've not stayed at any of these properties but been to St Lucia few times.

The Bel Jou is inland so that might not be great if you want beach access.

Location of Mystique Royal is great, it is right on Reduit Beach and close to the amenities in Rodney Bay but it is a long way from the south and the Pitons, you can rent a car to see those and the surrounding areas.

Marigot Bay is a beautiful location with the marina etc but I don't think there is a beach there, maybe a small one somewhere.

I think St Lucia is a great choice, its a beautiful island, you have alot of options from the UK, Barbados, Antigua, Jamaica. Grenada is one of my favourite islands, it has great beaches, friendly people. Turks & Caicos might be achievable in your budget if you stay somewhere modest eg Ports of Call which is a short walk away from a fabulous beach and walking distance to bars, restaurants etc. island is not so pretty away from the beach though.

Hi rich,

I agree with last post. Though dont know marigot bay, rodney bay is where your sought after action & beaches are. Not so much castries
