First trip

Hello, our family of four are planning to go to thailand in mid-june thru mid-july. Can you all help me on where to go to have the best chance of weather?

We love good food, nature, beaches and temples. We have no need for crazy nightlife but want some good night food markets.

Not knowing the weather here is what I was thinking so far:

Bangkok for 4 days
Chiang mai and chiang rai/pai for 7 days
Phuket and krabi for 6 days
Koh samui and koh pha ngan for 3 days

Thanks so much!!

If good weather is a priority for you then I would have second thoughts about Thailand at that time of year. June is just about ok but the further you move into July the wetter it will become. August is the wettest month of the year. The Gulf coast, Koh Samui, Koh Tao, Koh Phang Nang etc should be drier than the Andaman Coast - Phuket , Khao Lake, Koh Lanta etc. It wont rain all day and you will see some blue skies between I have visited at that time is was predominately grey and overcast (but in these day of climate change, who can say for sure?)

At that time of year I would be thinking about Malaysian Borneo or parts of Indonesia which will have better more consistent weather. Both regions have good food, nature, temples and night markets in abundance.

If you did want to stick with Thailand then I would drop Phuket and Krabi in favour of the gulf coast islands , though
personally Koh Samui is way too touristy and busy for my tastes. Very much the party island and not in a good way. There are some select 5* hotels where you can get away from all that but they will likely be expensive.
