3 Days In Malaysia or Singapore: Where to Go?

With 3 days to spare would you recommend Malaysia or Singapore? We are looking for the best day trips in either country that include scenery and wildlife. Thank you!

You seem to be spending three days in a lot of different places. Is this some new type of tour?

I planned to go to Sri Lanka but learned it's not the safest right now. So now I'm looking at Singapore or Malaysia. Even considering Dubai depending on how the flights line up.

If you are looking for scenery and wildlife then, apart from the zoo, forget Singapore.

Malaysia is a big place split between the peninsula and Borneo. Amazing scenery and wildlife but day trips are not really an option at least from KL

With just three days I would think about a city break or something more culture orientated rather than scenery and wildlife. Penang would be good for 3 nights. Kuching has some national Parks suitable for day trips and is a very pleasant city. Mount Kinabalu from Kota Kinabalu is just about doable.

Some of these places I covered in our blog which may provided some ideas. https://accidentalnomads.com/category/malaysia/

I guess much will depend on from where you are flying.
